

the Key Milestones

In total close to 80 skate session have been facilitated by Steez including 30 for kids and 2 days for girls only
-
In total, 44 boards have been collected in Switzerland, France and Belgium and brought up to Uganda during the year. As well as some protection, helmets and spare parts.

Thanks to the efforts of the team to coordinate and organize each Sunday a skate workshop open to everyone and free of access, the community grew from 10 kids in the first session close to a 100 regular kids in the middle of the year.

During the first quarter of the year, Steez has strenghten and created a team of 8 mentors, some of them have then been selected to become ambassadors for others international partners, well done !

At the end of the year, Steez has been able to pass on the 44 boards to the Gulu skateboard community for them to become more independent.

Throughout the year, 1 repairment/maintenance workshop has been organize to teach the skaters on how to take care of their boards.

Throughout the year, Steez has strengthen the relationship of the Gulu Skateboard Community and its different stakeholders. As a result more skateboards have been made available for the Sunday sessions.

Throughout the year and thanks to the financial support of Steez, the Gulu skateboard community has been able to go to 2 community events in 2 different cities, to grow the visibility of the skateboard scene in Northern Uganda

At the end of the year Steez has introduced skate meeting for mentors to get organized

Thanks to Steez efforts in being inclusiv, the community count now close to 20 girls !
